Malaysian-born, London-based poet Francesca Beard has been hailed as brilliant by the Scotsman, Spine-tingling by the Independent and the queen of British performance poetry by London Metro. She has performed innovative, interactive spoken word all over the world, from a café in Aserbaijan, to a Bangkok shopping mall, in a Colombian prison to Zimbabwe’s National Library. Francesca has been writer in residence at The Barbican Centre, The Metropolitan Police, Hampton Court Palace and Tower of London and written for the Royal Court Theatre, The Young Vic, BBC Radio 3 and 4.
She recently toured her latest one-person show Post-Truth Apocalypse and is currently developing a new piece, Confabulation, with support from Arts Council England.
