Words Etc

Luke Wright

Luke Wright’s poems document 21st century British life with wit, humanity and panache.

A founder member of poetry collective Aisle16 which helped kick-start a British renaissance of the spoken word scene, the award-winning writer and performer has toured his wares around the world for two decades.

As well as performing, he’s scripted animated short films, plays and spoken word shows, contributed poetry for Channel 4 documentaries and published two poetry collections.

Wright’s schedule for 2020 is just as busy: this year he’s touring his third verse play The Remains of Logan Dankworth, opening for The Libertines and finishing off a new batch of poems ready for publication in time for Christmas.
